The Mount Snow valley offers a little bit of something to everyone, from the outdoor lover, to the history buff. Luckily, the Matterhorn Inn is conveniently located right on Route 100 in the town of West Dover. It allows for easy access to many different Summer and Winter family activities suited for everyone.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

Many people don't think of Vermont when they first start thinking about summer vacations. Just like in the winter, Vermont is a great place to spend a relaxing vacation. Shopping: Visit the many shops around the Mount Snow Valley. With all the stores in the surrounding area, you are guaranteed to find the perfect gift for anyone. Feel like outlet shopping, Manchester Outlets are about half an hour away from the Matterhorn Inn. Looking for charming little shops, go down the road to Wilmington or to Bennington.

Spas: What a great gift for your honey; a weekend at the Matterhorn Inn and a day at one of the many spas and salons in our area. Go for a relaxing message or a truly spa experience. Whatever you want, they have. This can also turn out to be a great "girl's get-a-way" or a "mother/daughter weekend".

Historical sights: Interested in covered bridges? Well, our area of Vermont has lots of them. There's even a covered bridge museum. Want to take a walk back through time? Visit the museum in Bennington. Get an idea of how living used to be with old furniture, pottery, glassware, art etc. Interested in old homes and a different way of life??? Ask us about information on the Park McCullough House or about Hildine (A summer house built by President Lincoln's son). These are both examples of lovely homes with beautiful gardens.

Wine Tasting: Want to try some of the local wines?? What a great way to spend an afternoon or an evening than with wine tasting. Ask our staff about the local wineries and breweries in the area.

Music Festivals: Just down the road from the Matterhorn Inn, is Memorial Hall. Call us up and ask us about what's going on. You never know who might be stopping by our little part of the world.

Cruises: Ask us to arrange a sunset cruise on Lake Whitingham. Enjoy the beautiful scenery out on the water.
